ALLIANCE workshop on Epigenetic factors and long-term effects of ionising radiation on organisms (4-6 April 2018)

The European Radioecology ALLIANCE is organising the Workshop “Epigenetic factors and long-term effects of ionising radiation on organisms”, that will take place at IRSN, Paris, France, from the 4th to 6th of April 2018.

The workshop is considering a joint research priority arising from the ALLIANCE recent gaps analyses. The objective is to establish a consensus on the questions still to be addressed and to recommend future research priorities. A specific objective of the workshop is to address the relevance of epigenetic studies for risk assessment purposes. The workshop will explore the issue of epigenetic studies for organisms exposed to various stresses (natural or anthropogenic), and specific (epi)genetic mechanisms will be presented. It will also address the use of epigenetic responses for transgenerational effects.

The workshop is supported by the European Joint Programming CONCERT [Grant Agreement No 662287].
