Central Laboratory for Radiological Protection (CLOR) is a research institute with a wide range of functions to protect people and the environment. Our primary activities are monitoring of radioactive contamination in foodstuff and environmental components, calibration of dosimetric instruments and monitoring of occupationally exposed workers as well as general population. We conduct research on matters dealing with radiation protection, radiobiology and radioecology. Furthermore, CLOR serves as a center for training in radiation protection, scientific and technical information and developer of high-sensitive stations for detection of radioactive contamination of air.

GIG is a research and development institute, working for mining industry, local authorities and environment protection business. Main institute activities are focused on waste management, water and air protection in relation to heavy industry restructuring. The research on radioprotection and radioecology is mainly focused in enhanced natural radioactivity (NORM). The GIG has extensive experience in radiation measurements, occupational risk assessment and monitoring of the environmental impact related to the enhanced natural radioactivity.
